Our History

The Perla Ballet is a non-profit youth ballet company from Northeast Florida, founded in 2014 under the Artistic Direction of Lori Ladwig. It consists of young dancers from the surrounding comunities.

The Perla Ballet is a proud member of the prestigious Southeastern Regional Ballet Association (SERBA) – regional organization of Regional Dance America. The Southeastern Regional Ballet Association exists to promote excellence in instruction, choreography, performance and production.  They offer regional and national networking between directors, choreographers and dancers.  In addition, they provide educational and scholarship opportunities for dancers and choreographers.

Our Mission

The mission of the company is to cultivate an enjoyment and appreciation for dance in our community and to use pre-professional training and full-length productions to enrich and educate youth in the art of dance.

Performance Opportunities

The Perla Ballet performs multiple times each year and continues to grow in opportunity to perform. Seasonal performances include full-length ballets in the winter and spring. Additional opportunities include the annual regional and national festivals for Southeastern Regional Ballet AssociationContact Us if you are interested in having the youth company perform in your community! The Company is made up of over 35 dancers and each company member must be accepted via audition or invitation from the Artistic Director.

Company members commit to:
> A specified schedule of ballet and pointe classes, as well as, one additional elective dance class
> All rehearsals for seasonal productions
> All tuition and fees associated with the company (see Tuition and Fees in the tab above)
